| Engineering & Certification Department |
|
The Engineering department currently consists of Mathew Jaques (P.Eng), Kevin Stellar and Tara Brown. Mathew Jaques is the Engineering Manager as well as a Transport Canada Design Approval Representative (DAR) in the specialty of Aircraft Structures. Both Kevin Stellar and Tara Brown are former Avionics Technicians and are specialized in aircraft wiring and avionics systems interconnect design.
The Engineering Department supports the needs of its customers in obtaining Airworthiness Approvals (TCCA, FAA and EASA) for major aircraft modifications. Western Avionics currently holds many Avionics installation approvals for systems such as EGPWS, CVR, GPS, FMS, HF and ELT.
All drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics are drafted professionally using AutoCAD software.
